The body of work produced during my three-year doctoral specialisation in ceramics at the National Art School results from self-ethnographic exploration of a multifaceted interplay between meanings and being, mind and matter, in a ceramic installation practice inclusive of mixed media and multimedia elements. Targeted areas of cognitive sciences and affect theories provided a fruitful theoretical background against which this work unfolded. My ceramic installations and sculptures reflect cognitive and affective embodied processes underlying their production, as well as patterns of meaning emerging through my embeddedness in particular environments. Organic clay coils woven through the fabric of ceramic "space-time grids" trace my embodied interactions with natural (biological) environments, socio-cultural environments (inclusive of poetry, personal relationships, architecture and art) and my portable inner world coloured by specific landmark memories formative of my identity. Life rhythms and movements are reflected in them, forming multilayered ceramic webs of entanglement.
